Where Luxe Botanics Sources Marula

Used for centuries by African women to hydrate and nourish the skin, our Marula oil is extracted from the kernel of the Marula tree which is wild-harvested and processed by the local Maasai women in Kenya. Intrepid women in their own right, the tribe walks into the wild stands of Kenya to pick the fruit, dry it and cold press the nut for the oil. This labour intensive ritual provides these women with an independent source of income, which has led to upliftment of their families and resulted in wider community benefits.

GIVING BACK

At LUXE Botanics, our commitment to sustainability goes beyond our ingredients. We strive to provide continual financial support to the people who harvest and process our global botanicals, sustaining entire communities around the globe.

Through our partnership with Buy1Give1, when you purchase a Marula product you will help New Ways groom a child to become a well-educated and responsible adult by covering costs for all the necessary educational materials such as books, uniforms and shoes. The provision of these materials encourages these children to attend school more regularly and incentivizes them to focus better during lessons, making a positive impact on their academic achievement.
